I have arrived in Paris, France! Bonjour - that's hello in French. It took a long time to get here but I wonder how long exactly?
Your first task is to figure out the time it took on flights + stop overs + public transport in Paris. I am going to write it as a number story. You need to do 2 things: 1. Write it as a number sentence e.g 1 + 2 = 3 is a number sentence and 2. You have to tell me HOW you got your answer including the strategies you used e.g counting on, making ten facts, doubles, counters etc.
Okay here is the number story: I took 2 flights to get to Paris because the plane has to stop to be refuelled. The first flight I took was from Perth to Dubai and it was 11 hours. I then had to wait at Dubai for 3 hours. The second flight was from Dubai to Paris and it took 7 hours. When I arrived in Paris I had to take 2 trains to get to my hotel and that took 1 hour.
How long did it take me to get from Perth to my hotel in Paris including any stop over time?
Zac, I know you have already figured out the answer mentally but remember you need to write a number sentence to match and tell me how you worked it out. I will post the answer in a couple of days.
